Airbus Project Eggs Factor Terms and Conditions


  • By registering for this challenge you are deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions governing this competition.
  • The challenge is open to all UK schools, youth groups, clubs and home entries based in the UK. International entries can take part but will be ineligible for for prizes.
  • Students must be aged 7 – 19 and in full time education.
  • The competition has three age categories 7-11, 11-14, 14-19.
  • Students may work as individuals or in teams of upto four members.
  • The egg must meet the set criteria for its size and weight.
  • The entry must meet all the requirements of the full competition criteria for the relevant age level.
  • Teams may send in more than one video footage of their entry and can continue to improve their entry.
  • All video footage must show the egg insitu at the start and end of its journey. The video footage must also show the full journey the egg takes and how the journey was carried out by showing all apparatus and mechanisms involved in transporting the egg.
  • The decision of the judging panel is final and binding.
  • Young Engineers reserves the right not to show video footage of entries that do not meet their set criteria.
  • Young Engineers reserves the right to show at their discretion video footage of entries that do not meet the competition criteria but which are felt to be of significant interest.
  • Young Engineers accepts no responsibility for any plagiarism of ideas from the video footage shown.
  • Young Engineers will edit the video as required to make it suitable for showing on our website.
  • Young Engineers reserves the right to show video footage to promote the challenge or Young Engineers.
  • Young Engineers reserves the right not to show any video footage that is deemed unsuitable or in bad taste.
  • Young Engineers reserves the right to change the dates and times of the Flight Timetable.
  • Young Engineers reserves the right to amend the awards and prizes, but will notify contestants accordingly in good time should this be necessary.
  • Young Engineers reserves the right to publicise entries at their discretion, but will make full acknowledgement to the entrant and their school or college. Similarly it is expected that contestants, who are approached by the media, will make full acknowledgement to Young Engineers as organisers of the event.  Young Engineers reserves the right to use any quotes, photos or statements of the students or accompanying adults participating in the competition in their publicity materials or press releases etc.
