Intel ISEF (age 11-18)
Young Engineers is one of only 3 UK organisations who qualify to enter students into the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF). Each year we take up to three Young Engineer for Britain projects to the USA to compete in this massive competition where international recognition and even bigger prizes are on offer!
Young Engineer for Britain projects have a great track record at Intel ISEF, and their quality has led to them gaining several top awards over the years. Read about the latest trip to San Jose and see pictures from Intel ISEF events.
The Intel Design and Discovery programme for 11 to 15 year olds, developed to encourage US entries to this competition, also offers teachers wishing to encourage the development of Young Engineers for Britain entries a useful framework for sparking project ideas and teaching student’s the skills needed to turn their ideas into successful projects. It covers: Understanding the Design Process, Engineering Fundamentals, Thinking Creatively, Making, Modelling, and Materializing, Prototyping and Final Presentations.
